If you are one of those who works with a computer on a daily basis like me you should consider cheap laptops computers. I have actually owned three now and I think I would be lost without mine. I still use my desktop PC quite a bit at home but the laptop comes in extremely handy when I am away.
It’s not just convenient owning cheap laptops computers but it is also even more fun to use than the desktop. Your laptop can be totally modified to fit your needs and can be an extension of your desktop if need be. I know that I sometimes need to be able to use the same programs that I would normally have on my desktop and thanks to the additional of a 30GB portable drive, I can keep all the programs I would normally need on it and save the space on my laptop. I just plug it in to my USB port and I am off to the races.
You can customize the look of your display settings just as you would with your desktop so your window displays as well font sizes are all a click away.
There are many add ons that you can get for your laptop to make it more convenient for you to use. If you want more space, you can do as I suggested and buy a portable drive that will keep you from clogging up your main hard drive. You can also get smaller flash drives for moving information from one place to another.
Sometimes the way that the mouse is configured on a laptop makes it inconvenient or uncomfortable to use, if this is the case for you then you can get an external mouse that plugs into your laptop to make it easier to use, the same also can be said for the keyboard. If the keyboard seems too small or awkward, then plug in an external one.
Many times you will find that if you use your laptop often that it will begin to overheat, if this is the case for you then you should look into an external laptop cooler. Laptop coolers can help keep your system cool and prevent damage from overheating.
If you are unhappy with the sound of the internal speakers that cheap laptops computers come with you can buy a set of small powerful speakers and plug them into your laptop to give you better quality and louder sound.
If you travel quite a bit I highly recommend that you get a hard laptop case. Laptops are fragile and it is very easy to screw up a screen, they aren’t cheap to replace.

Going to college and existence online has gone hand in hand ever since the first enterprising dorm-dweller decided to share an MP3 on his school’s server. While the battles of sharing music are long gone, laptops have become a more visible presence on most dorm rooms than guitars and pictures of significant others from back home. A growing number of colleges are requiring their students to be wired, and providing free technology to those who can’t afford it on their own. This is even starting to stretch to high school students, who have been given numerous devices through pilot programs to see if having technology around is advantageous for learning.
While college students are a lot more internet savvy than their counterparts who graduated in the past decade, there is still a lot to see about the true boom in development for both hardware and software. After all, the current amount of space for the smallest iPod is the same as what was available for the most expensive second generation model, which was absolutely hulking. And now, it’s not just cell phones that crapper get online: if there’s wireless internet around, you crapper surf it with your iPod touch.
However, if you’re studying and away from home, you’re going to need a lot more than an MP3 player to get online. And while many schools offer computer labs, they are just as often jammed with other students printing papers and checking their email. It’s often a lot better to have your own machine. This way, you will ensure that you crapper always complete assignments on time, and if you have parents at bag who want to hear how you’re doing, it’s a lot easier to catch up when you crapper get online at your convenience.
While parents often stress about which Cheap Laptop Computers are the best for their college-bound daughter or son, they sometimes don’t think as much about the best way to get online. And while many colleges do provide a fast T3 connection or even wireless internet in common areas, this sometimes isn’t actually the most affordable or favourable thing. A growing number of students on-campus are starting to use WiMax to stay in touch, and the trend looks like it’s here to stay.
With WiMax, connecting to the internet is done through a network that functions much like one that handles cell phone calls. There’s no need to be within a specific distance of a particular device, and a fast network means that unlike regular wireless, it’s possible to do everything you could do from a fast computer plugged into a steady connection. Video chatting, streaming, uploading accumulation amounts of images–it’s all possible, thanks to this 4G network.
So when you’re getting ready to go off to college or return from the holidays, consider that you might need something more than a cheap laptop. You might be ready for a new way of getting online. And especially for those students who are interested in existence tech savvy, going with wireless broadband is definitely the way to do it.
Acer laptop computers has changed my life. In fact, I can say quite honestly, that it has revolutionalized the way that I work. It has made me much more productive and efficient overall. How, you might ask? As a writer, I need to remove myself from the distractions at home. And I would much prefer to work in the quiet, soothing atmosphere of a coffee shop. But doing so in the past meant recording everything with pen and paper and then retyping it upon my return home. What a waste of time. But now, my life has changed.
Owning my Acer meant not only that I could leave my home and work from the coffee shop, but I could leave town and still work. If I needed to travel for business, I had my work right there with me, on the plane, in the airport, in my motel. The Acer even affected my social life. Instead of finding myself bogged down, I can just type up my reports and head out the door to meet my friends for a night on the town. I don’t even have to stop at home. I can just pack my laptop up, slip it in the car, and then enjoy the rest of the evening with friends. Work and play have become one.
To make my Acer more productive and efficient, I had to modify its operating system. Instead of relying on the old standby of Windows, I converted the operating system to red hat linux. Linux offered a faster and more stable system than windows, which has recently made computers more vulnerable to viruses than linux. In a nutshell, windows can kill your system. It slows it down and opens the door up for a plethora of viruses.
I also learned that to rely on my laptop, I needed to maintain it and protect it. Laptop computers are much more vulnerable to damage than a desktop, simply because we carry them everywhere we go. How often do you lug a computer tower around? Thus I recommend investing in a hard case. Sure, soft cases are cheaper and easier to carry, but in the end, you will want a hard case to protect this high dollar investment that you just saved a couple months worth of paychecks for.
Because of their vulnerability to damage, laptop computers should also be backed up frequently, daily if possible. No one wants to lose valuable information, so back up your information on a flash drive or CD. Consider using your desktop as a backup as well for the information on your laptop.
My Acer has saved me days of work. I find myself enjoying my job even more now that I am not chained to the same desk in the same room for hours. And I find myself enjoying life more when I know that I can just pick up and go in a moment’s notice.
